Press event pictures! USC coordinates press event with famed rock band Chicago and the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation for the Horses of Honor auction

September 24, 2015 at 3:00 PM

UnitedService Companies has a serious focus on community involvement. This has definitely been the case for one of our favorite charities, the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation. As you may know, our leader, Richard "Rick" Simon, serves on the foundation’s advisory board. As a former Chicago police officer, Rick has deep ties to this community as do many of our team members.

On August 24, our charitable efforts included coordinating a major press event for the foundation and the legendary rock band Chicago. This event served as the official kick-off for the online auction of Chicago’s much loved Horses of Honor. During the event, Peter Schivarelli, the band’s longtime manager, announced the opening bid for the horse they sponsored; affectionately dubbed the Chicago Horse.  He also threw in a signed guitar, VIP tickets and more to sweeten the bid which started at $10K.

Our diligent public relations efforts led to every major local TV outlet and both of Chicago’s major newspapers being at the event! According to our media monitor report we got for this event, our efforts of secured just over $250,000 in publicity ad value and reached more than 4 million people.
